A Family I Love.

Aren't they adorable?

I met Landy (on the left) on my mission (in late Sept 1989), it only took a couple of weeks and we were bonded for life. So I count the month of October as the month I met up again with my friend Landy Lisette Ceballos S. (I'm sure we laughed together in heaven before then so in essence we 'met up again').

With her is Jim, wonderful and hilarious, and their beautiful daughters Jamie and Jennefer (named after yours truly).

They reside in the lovely area of downtown Los Angeles and I miss them.

Cheers to 20 years of friendship Land!

Sometimes FHE is a riot.

Note. These pictures are from September not October. We weren't even thinking about Halloween.

When I hollered at the kids to come down for FHE Emma showed up in this.

Braxton didn't bat an eye.

We worked on the state map puzzle and then quizzed Brax about the capitals for a school quiz.

I had a hard time concentrating on the puzzle as the guest penguin complained (a lot) that she couldn't see because of her beak.

She is NOT going to be a penguin for Halloween. She is going to be a fairy. We have had this discussion many times. The penguin suit is from 2007 and is about 8" too short.

Note. If you want a fun Family Home Evening, bring a penguin.

Barnyard Boo Saturday

Or in other words, happy Emma, very bored (but willing to suffer for the sake of his sister) Brax.

From the weekend

Mom let's have a movie and popcorn.
Me: What movie do you want to watch?
Transformers
Me: Em, that movie is a little scary.
Mom, if you're scared you can just snuggle up to me.

She made it halfway.

Moving

Thursday, October 14, 2009

After 13 years in my old office on the lovely 3rd floor. We have been moved out and down to the lower kingdom.

Even at work moving sucks (sorry). I dropped a jar of T-pins in the elevator (BIG jar). I was tempted to leave them there but that wouldn't have been to nice. oh, and I stole shelves. Five to be exact. They didn't put them in my new office, so I had to take drastic measures. What kind of person does that make me? The word pushy comes to mind or red... Such is life. A girl like me cannot live out of boxes. It's just not possible. I need shelving. I have books. and decor. Stop judging.

There are a few perks to this move. I did get a faster computer so that's a plus, my office is almost 9" longer AND I have a secret passage way. How cool is that?   When you are banished from the Celestial floor to all things Telestial (a.k.a. the 1st floor) at least get something for it. (Seriously, love the secret passage way).

New home. and (four 'borrowed' shelves).

yes. Service boxes are in front of the windows yet to be unpacked, blocking my secret passage way.

Jesse Belle

Tonight I miss my grandmother. She was wise. She could make me laugh. and when I was down I would go visit her and we would go get a piece of pie at Marie Calendars.

She would wear her special coat and bring her best purse. We could talk for hours...

In her 60's.

A story. I remember being in the Provo temple a few years ago. I was wearing Grandma Jesse's white temple sweater. I promise, I just knew she was there. I knew it. She had written her name on the sweater's tag. I looked at it a few weeks ago and the place where she had written her name had washed off. I cried, until I thought I could hear her say, "Jenny, that's a silly reason to cry."

At 90. She died at 91. In 2000.

Self Expression

She had earned $4 this week helping out her mama. So while her sweet brother was at Priesthood Meeting on Saturday evening we went to Macey's so she could buy her own drink and treat.

She purchased this instead.

and wore it all day Sunday.
