some type of ritualistic dance was going on by the tree last night.  The Santas were somehow involved. I really don't know.

no patience whatsoever

Emma came looking for me last night. I was in my bathroom, with the door LOCKED. (I have learned). She banged on the door for a couple of minutes, and I told her to wait, I would be out soon. She voiced her complaints that I was not immediately available, banged on the door again and left.

2 minutes later this was slid under my bathroom door.

FHE

Brax planned FHE yesterday. We made gingerbread men and put them on the tree (yearly tradition). He had Emma 'skewer' their heads (for the ribbon) before cooking. Of course she thought that was the best part, my morbid child.

A beautiful photo

Emma is at her Dad's.
Brax is in Salt Lake with the YM and YW at the Orquirrh Mountain Temple.
I am wasting time browsing through blogs which keep linking me here, then here, then here...you know how it goes. I think I am actually stalling. I should be cleaning.

In my explorations I found this. A beautiful photo by Jack R. Johanson

 The Falling Of The Leaves by William Butler Yeats
Autumn is over the long leaves that love us,
And over the mice in the barley sheaves;
Yellow the leaves of the rowan above us,
And yellow the wet wild-strawberry leaves.

The hour of the waning of love has beset us,
And weary and worn are our sad souls now;
Let us patt, ere the season of passion forget us,
With a kiss and a tear on thy drooping brow.

Funny Girl. Still reading scary books. Hoping she will move on to happy Christmas stories soon.
